As a duly recognized Engineering fraternity with an initiative for service, the Beta Epsilon Fraternity organizes several events throughout the year.

Maskipaps: The CrossOver

Maskipaps: The Crossover is the official Afterparty of the UP Lantern Parade, and is the biggest student-organized music festival in UP Diliman. First conceptualized and organized in 2014, its main goal was to promote OPM and EDM cultures as it featured various classic, mainstream, and up-and-coming artists in its lineups through the years. Last year’s Maskipaps 2019 was enjoyed by its biggest crowd to date, 17,000 attendees from different universities in Metro Manila, and featured an exciting lineup that included Ben & Ben, Kamikazee, Hey, Billie!, This Band, DJ Marc Marasigan, and many other talented artists.

This event is the epitome of the different aims that the Beta Epsilon fraternity strongly upholds. It promotes the interest of the country and the university by showcasing local talents and advocacies and by showing the university’s excellence and prestige to all the attendees. As a testament to this fact, Maskipaps 2019 was also featured in People’s Television Network’s SDG Tambayan segment as it promotes responsible partying and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Goals.

In light of collective effort of different sectors of the country’s fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, Maskipaps 2019 earnings also helped in funding Maskipaps: Tulong sa PGH, a project that provided 10,000 high quality isolation coveralls for the medical frontliners in the Philippine General Hospital (PGH). This is another testament of how the UP Beta Epsilon Fraternity continues to uphold its ideals of giving back to our country through means of social service.
